Principal's Welcome

Dear Sam Davey Students and Families, 

 My name is Ashley Hensley, and I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new Principal of Sam Davey Elementary.  I have worked in education for the past 16 years, across the country, at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. I started as an educator in the Eau Claire School District about 10 years ago at Northwoods Elementary and most recently served as an Associate Principal at North High School.  As a former Sam Davey student, I am humbled by the opportunity to return and serve Sam Davey students, families, and staff. 

I would like to assure you that students will continue to be at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to providing a supportive and engaging learning experience that caters to the unique needs of each child. Our goal is to inspire a lifelong love of learning, cultivate critical thinking skills, and empower our students to reach their fullest potential. 

I recognize that a strong partnership between school and family is essential for student success. Your insights, support, and active involvement in your student's education are invaluable.  As I am transitioning into this position, Sam Davey staff are dedicated to fostering an environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.  I know that together, we can ensure that our students have the tools and opportunities they need to succeed. 

As I embark on this new journey, I am filled with enthusiasm for the upcoming school year. I look forward to meeting each of you and working together to make this a memorable and successful year for our students.  Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions, concerns, or ideas you may have.
